http://www.livejournal.com/~doctony/ cooked a mean dinner last night. it was a tuesday and it was our regular tuesday dinner. but last night was a bit special. tony and ronnie was celebrating their 18th anniversary of matrimonial bliss or whatever they call shacking up between faggots. lol. they actually could not figure out whether it was their 17th or 18th year together.

we all were in a nostalgic mood and so we spoke of events that happened more than 18 years ago when we were young and very pretty. lol. the lovers we had then, the places that we frequented, and the one night stands that we had. i, of course, had to remind doc eric of the passionate french kiss he gave me at blue cafe. lol. eric says those are memmories best not remembered. lol.

i'm a bit worried about thad. this morning he just fell and couldn't get up. his lower back hurts. doc eric says it may be a slipped disc and he recommended a doctor. but the doc can only see him tommorrow. i told thad to call doctony also for a referral. i do hope he can see a doctor today. he's in pain.

saw http://www.livejournal.com/~mosscake/ picture blog of his broken, bloody nose. if his nose remains crooked, he can make stories about it. lol. just like that line that goes across my bald head. these are the stories i give out to people who asks about that line at the back of my head:

story 1: i had an vehicular accident when i was young and pieces of glass embedded itself so the doctor fixed it.
story 2: i had a hair transplant and that's where they got my hair.
story 3: a doctor told my parents that they needed to fix my brain or i go crazy. obviously, it wassn't a very good job.
story 4: during the marcos era, i was jailed and tortured. and they worked on my head.
so which is true? secret! you can all leave a comment except http://www.livejournal.com/~doctony/ lol.

AA--I need you!

last saturday, I went to jojo's wake. he didn't look like the jojo I knew. there's something wrong with his eyes and he didn't look like he had a left arm. after hearing the story of what happened, i now understood why his eyes looked like that and his left arm looked like that. Plunging from 6,000ft does weird things to a body.

after the wake, i headed off to dan's place in roxas blvd. he threw a farewell party for orly. when dan throws a party expect alcohol to flow and i drank a bit too much. thad says i was veering left to right and bumping into people. i couldn't even remember how i got home. thad and i brought separate cars.

i woke up the next day feeling bad. i had a headache and felt nauseous. thad gave me some paracetamols. i slept some more then i threw up.

i was in a very blah mood. i could smell my body reek of alcohol. it is during these blah feelings that i swore to stay off the stuff. a nice hearty meal helped but a massage revived me.

i can't understand this aging body of mine. i felt blah but i had an erection for most of the morning. i was horny but didn't feel like having sex.

oh well, maybe doc tony has an answer to this conundrum.

In Memoriam Jojo Marcellones

A single peal of bells below,
That wakens at this hour of rest
A single murmur in the breast,
That these are not the bells I know.
Like strangers' voices here they sound,
In lands where not a memory strays,
Nor landmark breathes of other days,
But all is new unhallow'd ground. - Alfred Lord Tennyson

Jojo died today....

I got to the gym early for my boxing session when my phone goes "DARNA". A message just came in from Carla-our AMCI President. "Labs, can you send out this bulletin to members who are in your phone book? I'm out at the moment please? Jojo Marcellones B2k3 Inductee passed away today. Please pray for the repose of his soul. Details of the wake to follow." Shocked, I managed to send out "What happened?" Carla answered back "He was practicing his sky diving when his parachute didn't open."

After that message, I still went on to box. But my mind was somewhere else. I had one of the most intense boxing sessions because I was angry. Angry at the unfairness of it all. Jojo was a young man working as one of the chiefs of security for Ayala Corp. He was suppose to be inducted but could not join the induction climbs of 2003 because of work. I bumped into him in the training sessions and in the 1st climb. He told me he would get inducted this year. I know him. I liked him. He has no mean bone in his body. He was a very unassuming fellow but when he talked he made a lot of sense.

I know that sky diving is an extreme sport and carries a tremendous amount of risk. Since I do engage in extreme sports like scuba diving, mountaineering and mountain biking, I do know that there are a lot of safety protocols to make the sport safer. You have to be reconciled to the fact that extreme sports magnifies your chances of getting killed. But when it happens to a friend, it is still very hard to accept that you will never see him again.

I don't know why it happened to Jojo. I won't even try to ponder the reasons why Someone higher up took him away from us. He has his reasons and sometimes we don't know His reasons. We sometimes question Him and doubt Him. But this time, I'll have to trust Him and pray to HIm to accept Jojo in His Home.

at long last--CUTEBALDDIVER TAKES PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION!

two weeks ago, after taking note of the never ending increases in fuel prices, i've decided to fight back by ditching my gas hungry pajero and land rover for public transportation. as long as i am not wearing a barong and a suit and have no business appointments, i will take the mrt/lrt to work. my sister's reaction was a raised eyebrow and my bro (who does take public transportation because he is so stingy) murmurs "it's about time". so far so good. i've averaged about 2x per weekday on taking the mrt/lrt. my fuel consumption has gone done and i save at least P500 on fuel costs. i walk more but i also sweat more. i'm expecting my already beautiful body to be even more shapely now. maybe someday, i'll even rival http://www.livejournal.com/~jaypogi/ up on the ledge of Bed gyrating my body and doing other every hot stuff! Lol.we didn't have our regular tuesday dinner at http://www.livejournal.com/~doctony/ house. since 1999, eric, willy and i have gotten together at doctony's for dinner. tuesday dinners are lafang affairs. doctony is a good cook. he likes cooking homespun meals. he is the martha stewart of malate! lol. even buttercup who is a chef, acknowledges doctony's talent in cooking.now that i've registered at photobucket, maybe http://www.livejournal.com/~mosscake/ can help me post pictures in my blog.

These skeletons are getting tiring....

My weekend started early. Unexpectedly Friday was a holiday in Quezon City. Since my office was located in QC, I had a holiday. But I still friggin worked!

Bunny called and invited Thad and me to dinner at People's Palace in Greenbelt. Her cousin Trisha flew in from SF with her boyfriend. They're suppose to attend Trisha's Dad birthday party on Sunday. At the same time, Chris, her yummy Chinese American BF is suppose to ask her hand in marriage. Chris is yummy. And I'm not the only person who thinks so. Dan, who was at the next table, thinks so. Lol.

After dinner, I went over to Synder to join Malvin's birthday bash. I brought Jing and May next door to Bed. I stayed over because the gang's all there! Besides, I wanted to flirt and there was no one passable at Malvin's bash. Got drunk, forgot to pay my bill and had a cholesterol laden snack at Silya.

Saturday was more of the same. Bed with Thad but he left early. Bed was packed. Had a couple of beers and left for Tribu to have some sex. I forgot to pay my bill again! I gotta give the money to DocTony when I meet up with him this Tuesday. Kakahiya! Lol.

My sister forwarded a text from my bro last night that made my blood boil. "Wife will bring my daughter to the Tita Mila's house yet she can't bring her to Mom's house next door to visit Mom. I need a girlfriend!" Yes, my dear bro. Your sister and I will find you a girlfriend so you can leave that bitch of a wife that you have. She does not deserve you. (sorry for the rant, couldn't help myself)

This is what greeted me today at Cocktales, Vic Agustin's column at the Inquirer. And its getting a bit tiring. This guy never stops! What can you expect from a gay business gossip columnist? Lol. This time, at least, he's got his facts right. Lol. I wonder which of my adorable, fucked up cousins managed to correct Ms. este Mr. Agustin's facts on Mercedes Teehankee? I'm glad I'm out of it. Lol.

Victoria, meet Catilina

TOP corporate lawyer and newly minted billionaire Victoria delos Reyes was a no-show in Friday's probate hearing for the will of her aunt, Pacita Ongsiako delos Reyes-Phillips, despite the lawyer having instituted the petition and being named heir and executrix of the fabulous fortune.
Instead, her lawyers from Accralaw spent the entire session questioning the appointment of Vicente Chuidian, the counsel of the widowed US-based husband now claiming his conjugal half of the multibillion-peso estate.

Exasperated by the delaying tactics of his paƱ'eros, the Ateneo-educated Chuidian could not help but blurt out the opening lines of Cicero's First Oration:
"Que asque tandem abatere, Catilina, patientia nostra? Quam diu etiam furor iste tuus nos eladet? Quiem ad finem sese effrenata iactabit audacia?" ("When, O Catilina, do you mean to cease abusing our patience? How long is that madness of yours still to mock us? When is there to be an end of that unbridled audacity of yours, swaggering about as it does now?")
Hearing the peroration, even Makati RTC Judge Ma. Cristina Cornejo broke out into a wide grin, and forgot her being ticked off by Chuidian with his earlier suggestion that the judge, an admitted friend of the executrix, had been hasty in approving the will disinheriting the husband.
Chuidian even alleged that Delos Reyes flew to the United States and withdrew about $400,000 in a bank account that she co-owned with her aunt right after the billionaire former Miss Philippines passed away.
In addition, the executrix has allegedly disposed more three-dozen lots at the Manila Memorial Park that her aunt owned.

Delos Reyes claimed that her aunt left only about a P100-million estate; Chuidian, on the other hand, said his original estimate of P2-3 billion estate was "even conservative."

The hearing continues Sept. 16, with Chuidian still insisting that Delos Reyes appear on the witness stand.

Heard through the grapevine

THE RAMON Tambunting inheritance row is getting curiouser, if not messier.

In reaction to a Friday item here, a Tambunting relative claimed that Ramon's marriage with Mercedes Teehankee Rivera had been annulled, long before the billionaire passed away.

The "wife" is now claiming the conjugal half of the estate, the bulk of which is now under the control of Ramon's eldest (not youngest, as reported Friday) brother, Jose, and his son, Jose Jr.

More skeletons in the closet....

HAHAHAHA.... another of those skeletons in the closet... only this time its on my mother's side! They're not as colorful nor as entertaining as my father's side. Nevertheless, it is still drama.

Heard through the grapevine (Inquirer: August 18, 2005)
CONTRARY to what is being talked about in high society circles, the Ramon Tambunting inheritance feud has not been settled yet, with the widow, Mercedes Teehankee-Tambunting, still contesting the probate of the will of her late husband.
Ramon, who passed away in 1999, left the bulk of his fabulous fortune to his younger brother Jose Jr., and his son Joselito and Joselito's wife, Victoria.
E-mail: cocktales_pdi@pldtdsl.net or cocktales_pdi@yahoo.com

You see, my Tito Mon died of cancer in 1999 leaving the bulk of his estate to his older brother's children (not younger as the misinformed Cocktales has written) including Jose's illegitimate son Joselito and his money grubbing wife, Vicky and about 30% to the other nephews and nieces, including moi! As expected, lawsuits ensued and I kept my distance. I was one of the few (includes my sister and brother) that just didn't give a damn whether we got anything. We just wanted our share however big or small it was. For that, we were the family outcasts. We didn't take sides.

In the 1958, my Tito Mon married Mercedes "Baby" Teehankee. In 1965, he went home unexpectedly from Europe and caught her in bed with another man. As expected, he filed for legal spearation and annulment. Baby went on and married or lived in with other men. She's now in her 70's and penniless. That's the reason why she's still contesting the will. She wants to get something out of my dear Tito Mon's estate. Fat chance! Lol.

The estate was settled earlier this year with the lawsuits dropped by both parties. The bill for Villaraza and Lazaro was as expected ASStronomical. In the meantime, both lawyers are extremely confident that the ex Mrs. Mon (Baby) will get zilch, zero, nada.

We settled the lawsuits earlier this year with my siblings and I getting the best deal among the warring parties. You see, my family was the swing vote. So we made the most out of it and bilked both sides. Lol. Ironic isn't it? The disinterested party makes the most out of the situation!

Although some may say that the Tambuntings are a colorful lot, they're not as colorful or as dramatic as my father's family. The only reason that there's some color in their life is that the male species of that family get cuckolded. Yup, their wives have affairs with other men like my 2 uncles and my 2 other cousins. Lol.

There is really no love lost among my mother's family. Lol. Besides they don't like Thad and they consider me an embarassment, so FUCK them. Lol.

Except for Tito Mon. I was one of his favorites.

Pacita and the skeletons in the closet

Cocktales: Victoria's secretsPosted: 0:12 AM Aug. 17, 2005Victor AgustinInquirer News Service
(Published on Page B3 of the August 17, 2005 issue of the Philippine Daily Inquirer)
AN inheritance row has broken over the estate of billionaire Pacita Ongsiako de los Reyes-Phillips, with the executor and niece, corporate lawyer Victoria de los Reyes, being accused by the widowed US-based husband of legal skullduggery in having herself and her brother named as sole heirs.
On one hand, De los Reyes, a former bar examiner for legal ethics, declared the probable value of her aunt's estate -- which includes three houses in the DasmariƱas Village subdivision in the Makati business district, an Urdaneta Apartments unit and two buildings in Manila's Binondo Chinatown district and in Makati -- at P100 million.
On the other hand, lawyers for the Ohio-based widower, retired Army doctor Ralph Phillips, now 88, placed the value of the Delos Reyes-Phillips real estate, corporate and cash holdings at P2 billion to P3 billion.
A Miss Philippines 1929 and lawyer, De los Reyes-Phillips, 93, died last March 10, eight days after she signed a will disinheriting her husband "due to abandonment without justifiable cause for more than one year."
Lawyers for the husband, from the Chuidian Law Office, claim that the will was signed under duress -- despite the presence of lawyer-broadcaster Maria Carolina "Katrina" Legarda as one of the witnesses -- since the computer-generated document was prepared and handed in by the lawyer-niece when her aunt was "terminally ill."
Lawyer Vicente Chuidian also questioned the haste of Makati Regional Trial Court Judge Maria Cristina Cornejo in approving the will and disinheriting the husband without inquiring from the lawyer-niece about the whereabouts of the widower, who, as sole surviving heir, should by law be entitled to three-fourths of the estate.
"The petitioner [Victoria de los Reyes] went to the United States and even spoke with the son of the husband-heir being disinherited sometime in the first week of May 2005 but failed to inform him about the hearing that was scheduled for May 20, 2005," Chuidian said.
According to the grapevine, even evangelist Brother Eddie Villanueva's spokespersons, couple Louie and Triccie Sison, have signified their intention to join the opposition to the will, after negotiations with De los Reyes, attended by the late Fernando Poe's counsel Harriet Demetriou, broke down.
If they become public, the Sisons' claims about their alleged share in the De los Reyes-Phillips fortune would make even addicted viewers of "Desperate Housewives" blush, this we can assure.

For those of you who who don't know who Pacita is, go to my blog dated April 22 (for those reading this in livejournal: http://www.cutebalddiver.blogspot.com). Pacita Ongsiako de los Reyes-Philipps is the 1st cousin of my dad. In the 20's, she used to be a Ms. Philippines. She studied law in UP and topped the bar. She's known for doing very unconventional things during her time like suing Wack Wack Golf And Country for not allowing her to become a member because she is female. She won that case. I've talked to lawyers before and they keep asking me how I am related to Pacita or Oscar or Carmen. Apparently in Philippine Jurisprudence, my family is quite famous. Lol.

Well she is a character. She married an American. She didn't want to have children because it would ruin her figure. She got tired of the American when he couldn't get it up and ended up having a live in affair with Carlos Moran Sison. Carlos Moran Sison's daughter is claming part of the property. I wonder if she is the love child?

Carlos' other son, Louie Sison (Bro. Eddie Villanueva's spokeperson) has a daughter name Camille. Camille is married to my 1st cousin Congressman Edmund Ongsiako Reyes of Marinduque. This tale is far better than Despearate Housewives!!!

Those are my relatives in my father's side. Dad's family are composed of eccentric, brilliant, horny people. And most of them are suckers for love. My Lolo had 6 children out of wedlock. My grandmother never hesitated to sue anyone or everyone who got in her way. Oscar (Dad's late brother and of Siguion Reyna, Montecillo and Ongsiako Law Offices fame) always liked to brag that he wote the coporation code and the labor code of the Philippines. The colorful love life of Tonyboy Ongsiako Cojuangco and Gretchen Barretto and the never ending saga of Tita Meldy trying to break them up is a case in point. Those are my relatives: always colorful, always interesting and almost always, legendary.

Buti na lang tahimik buhay ko. Lol.

Naku I forgot to make kwento about last Monday's Rotary Club of Makati South's Induction.

As a past president (RY 2002-2003), I had to attend this yearly ritual of the old president handing over the reins of the club leadership to a new president. These inductions are very formal affairs punctuated with pomp and circumstances. During my year, I required everyone to come in black tie (not business suits nor blazers, but black tie). This year, the business suit was the attire for the evening. I donned my best suit, a Paul Smith that I paid a fortune for.

I had the distinction of serving as the youngest president at that time in a club full of old men. Lol. So I found myself surrounded by the who's who of the Rotary World generally older men than me. The only thing younger than me are the lady dancing instructors and the obviously gay male dancing instructors.

My club even hired a band that played tunes from the 60's and 70's. As the formal part ended, the real party began. Old men and their wives danced and sang to the tunes of the 60's and 70's. A few of them joined the band and eventually took over the singing chores of the band. Those old men and ladies were really having a blast while I was so bored out of my mind. Lol.

Finally, at about 11, I had enough. I left and gave my number to a dancing queen who was openly flirting with me. He wasnt bad looking and that bulge in his pants held some promise. Lol.

Alman, Mosscake and fab_ab survived the Mt. Mariveles climb. Based on their blogs, it was a hard, dangerous climb. I just hope the other trainees won't be discouraged from climbing again.

I read Mosscakes's blog. I'm reposting it.

HOMOPHOBIA IS WRONGI AM ONE OF THE MANY.I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights. We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I didn't have to always deal with society hating me.I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.Repost this if you believe homophobia is wrong.

And I'm adding this:

I intend to fight back. If you can't accept who I am, I will be in your face, FOREVER.

Friday's traffic was one of the worst I've seen in this city of ours. I was at my cousin's office hearing him advising my brother on how to protect his assets from his wife and how to pass it on to his daugther. My brother is a bit pissed off at his wife. I don't blame him. He married an unstable witch. My sister and I were mainly there for moral support. Lol. My sister hates the witch. She thinks she's a money grubbing, self centered bitch. I tend to agree with her. The witch does not have any friends but she's got loads of people who don't like her. Well, my brother married a witch so I guess he'll have to live with it. Lol.

Orly's dinner went off without a hitch. Orly showed up early and Thad and I were not yet ready. I was still in the shower when he arrived. It's a good thing the appetizers were ready: oysters florentine and rissoto rice balls with a bit of chorizo. Then the gang started to arrive. Dan, Eric, Vic, Mark, Choi, Levy, Daffy, Frederick, Manny, Renmin and Jason. Eric warned us that there seems to be trouble in paradise between Jason and Mark.

Buttercup outdid himself. Aside from the yummy appetizers, the main course was poached sole in herb butter on a bed of spinach, pasta with tomato cream sauce and parma ham, and smoked tangingue wrapped in puff pastry. And I almost served a full bodied hearty red wine. Its a good thing I had a light red wine and a chardonnay. Dessert was cheese cake decorated with fruits and baked apple stuffed with cream.

Then Eric got behind the bar and mixed the cocktails. I became plastered. I think I passed out and missed the drama between Mark and Jason. Lol.

Buttercup and I watched the "Great Raid". I enjoyed the movie since I loved the book "Ghost Soldiers". I loved James FRanco. He is my new crush. He looks so yummy. He has this endearing lovable leader role. Cesar Montano was not bad. He played Capt. Juan Pajota, one of the guerilla leaders in Cabanatuan. But I don't think he'll get any award for his role. We ended up in Bed for a few drinks and a few laughs.

Heard from Jenny and Jing that the climb was a killer. TB does it again! What perfect timing. Lol.

I happened to glance at the birthdate of Alman and Mosscake. God, I am old! Mosscake was born when I was about to graduate from high school. Alman was born when I just entered my freshman year at the Ateneo. I tried looking for fab_ab birthdate but its not listed. He's probably even younger than Alman and Mosscake. And to think A is even younger!

Buttercup (Thad) had drawn up the menu for tonight's dinner for Orly. Ford is sending Orly to London for a 3 year posting. Lucky devil. London is such a nice city. Very civilized with an exciting night life and a cultural life that you can't find in the USA, London is indeed a plum post. I've been there like 5 times. The last time I was there in 1994, I spent 3 weeks mucking around the city and the whole of the UK. But that place is expensive. I was lucky enough to get picked up in my 3rd day there at a gay pub called Queens Head by this French banker in a Jaguar who was staying at the Savoy. So for the next two weeks, I was his bitch. A very spoiled bitch. Lol.

Back to Thad's menu. We're having oysters florentine and oysters rockefeller, smoked tanguingue in pastry puff, roast tenderloin in raspberry sauce, fish poached in herb butter, smoked cheese in filo pastry, stawberry cheese cake and baked apples with some sort of stuffing. Yummy. The gurls are gonna go crazy!!!!!

I have to buy the oysters later and I have to get at least 2 bottles of chardonnay or a reisling. And I have to seach for canned lychees for the lychee martinis.

Its raining hard and I am so glad that I don't have to climb this weekend. Kawawa naman si Mosscake and Alman. They'll be needing a wetsuit. Lol.

Thursday, August 11, 2005

My tonsils are infected again. Eric prescribed penglobe, an expensive but effective antibiotic. That's the advantage of having a doctor friend who lives in the the same building and in the same floor. I feel much better now.

I told Mosscake that I can't post my comments in his blog. He told me to subscribe to live journal. Hmmmm... maybe I'll do that-- just to comment in his most interesting blog.

It's raining. And its gonna be a wet, cold climb for the trainees. God is good. He made sure I can't go in this miserable climb. Jing and Jenny says I'm bitter. And I say "I'm smart!" Lol.

A texted me yesterday. It nice to hear from him from time to time. He seems to be happy with Direk.

A 1,001 things to do for Orly's farewell dinner. Thad is a perfectionist and he's driving me crazy!

As I Was Running....

While I was running my 6k in the treadmill yesterday, several thoughts entered my usually empty brain. I lost my ear phones so I couldn't hear the TVs. So I just set the treadmill and ran.

I started to remember the fellow that I was 20 years ago. 4 years out of college, working for a bank and the country was in troubled times. Marcos was still in power. I was working for a crony bank and I was privy to all the money being siphoned out of the country. I joined the daily lunch time Makati protest against the evil that was Marcos. I was idealistic, driven and out to change the world. Ninoy was my hero and Cory my sainted savior.

The only thing I did was to make sure the crony money was remitted abroad under tight security. I could not even make photo copies. Other than that, I was idle doing nothing and collecting a paycheck of P6,000/month. I was suppose to be a fast rising mid-level executive with a secretary and the ultimate status symbol at that time: a HP financial calculator and my very own direct line. PLDT lines were hard to come by. You had to wait for at least 10 years before PLDT gave you a line. Direct lines were selling a P3,000 a pop from PLDT linemen. I was bitching that the peso rate fell from P8=$1 to P11=$1. Brand new cars were in the P35,000 to 60,000 range. A meal with two viands, rice and dessert would cost me from P8 to P10. McDonalds had 2 branches and Jollibee was an ice cream joint in Cubao. Shakeys's, Tia Maria and Tibs were the in place to get a beer and a margarita. Louie Y at Hyatt Hotel was the place to be seen. You had to have a Louie Y Gold Card to designate you as a VIP. Drinks were P50 a shot. Credit Cards were very new in the country and you had to pay off your balance every month and that made it a status symbol. Preppy fashion was the in thing. Button down oxford shirts, Lacoste, Ralp Lauren collar t-shirts, jeans, khakis, top siders and Gucci loafers or Italian tasseled shoes. During the weekends, top siders and Gucci loafers were worn without socks. For the gay crowd and the straight crowd who wanted to be in, after a night out in Louie Y, everyone headed to Coco Banana to watch the drag show and had breakfast at Cafe Adriatico.

We hobnobbed with the Marcos elite and the very next day we participated in the rallies. We knew how to play the game. There was an ancitipation that the Marcos years was waning and that a new era and a bright future is just around the corner.

I wanted to fullfill my social responsibility by helping the poor. I developed an early principle for helping the poor. I've always believe that giving them skills, jobs and housing would uplift them. Back then, I did not believe in handouts.

Fast forward to today. Nothing has changed much in the political scene. We're still trying to figure out what democracy is or isn't. The politicians are just as corrupt and crooked. The government is still ineffective and we're still fighting the same insurgencies that we had during the Marcos era.

I'm less idealistic and more jaded. Things have changed. Yet there are some things that have never changed. There are more people leaving for jobs abroad. There is still the constant poverty, the corruption, the irresponsible media, the festering insurgencies, the crab mentality, the meddling of the Catholic Church in the politics of the country and the Marcoses are still around.

Definitely, the fashion has changed. Jeans are still in but more faded and wtih lower hips. Oxford shirts are still on but more fashionable casual shoes are in. Converse made a come back and the lowly "tsinelas" are now a fashion item called flipflops. Tight shirts made with better materials are so in. Pleated pants are so out. The cut now is narrower and the hips lower. People still wear shoes without socks but these are mainly casual shoes. Athletic socks just covers the feet. Sandals are so in. There is a proliferation of yummy guys in underwear fashion thanks to Bench. And people are more sexually liberated nowadays. Straight men can now finally have sex with girls. Lol.

But things have also changed. Thanks to President Ramos, a corrupt but economically enlightened President, it is now easier to get a phone and cell phones are all the rage. The businesses that thrive on connectivity is thriving (call centers, BPOs). Schools are improving their facilities albeit available to those that have the money. Mass transportation and traffice is a bit easier (LRT, MRT). Believe it or not our fuel prices are still the lowest in the region. Public companies are more transparent. People are more environmentally aware now. Middle class housing is picking up, so is mass housing. The financial sector is cleaning up house. Universities are investing in more research and in upgrading the quality of their education except for UP who has remained rooted to the past. Those left leaning professors should be changed. The only way for UP to survive is to develop its land so that the income can be used to improve the quality of education.

I still believe in providing skills, jobs and housing for the poor. I now have the money to put my ideas to work. I've also joined the organizations to launch my advocacy. FINEX takes care of the education and skills part while the Rotary through it partnership with Gawad Kalinga takes care of the housing side.

There is still hope for this country. I'm just scared that this present crop of youngsters are not as committed in building this country up. About half of these youngsters want to go abroad and find their destiny. Let them. Pretty soon, they will cease being Filipinos. In fact most of them don't consider themselves Filipinos. But for those that stay, BRAVO!

I was in the USA once with a green card. In two more years, I would have become a US citizen. But I came back and gave up my green card. I hated living there. I was always considered a foreigner. An alien. And I couldn't stand Pinoys aswering me in English when I spoke Filipino to them.

I'm glad I live in this country and proud of it too. I just wish more of us can be proud to call ourselves, Filipinos.

See what running without earphones does to your brain...... Lol.

Rain, rain come again....

It rained this weekend and it is still raining now. Rain makes me horny and I thank the rain for resolving a fight between Thad and me. We had a little tiff last Friday. Something minor and something ordinary between couples who have been together for quite some time. But these minor disagreements can bring out lots of bad feelings between couples just because both couples are tired and cranky. Well by Saturday early evening, it got resolved by some heated argument then some very hot sex. Lol. And the rain helped. We both get horny when it rains.

On Friday evening, I had to hook up with my straight Rotary friends at Louie Vega's very spacious office near Baclaran Chruch. Louie is married to my cousin, Marichu. He and Marichu has this freight forwarding business and several bingo parlors located in malls. They are a very successful couple. While Marichu minds the store, the house and the kids, Louie entertains the clients and the goverment officials that go with the business. So he has this long list of good time girls he uses to entertain his friends.

That evening, he invited about 12 nice looking girls with bad accents. They were nice looking and very sexy. Huge boobs were all over the place. I played along. Kissing boobs and cheeks was as far as I would without barfing. These girls are very good actresses. They seemed to like every old man in that room. I was one of two who were younger than any of the old men and I'm already 45! I know the girls were genuinely flirting with me because they all thought I was only in my 30's! They were also flirting with Dars because Dars looked good too. Dars is a well known diver and he routinely free dives to 150ft. He owns a 70 ft yatch. He takes the yatch all over the Philippines. Dars and I were better looking than anyone else because we are relatively fit.

Anyway, everyone was drinking scotch or wine. The food was plentiful. Crabs, prawns, lapu lapu, lechon, clams and oysters were served. The only thing lacking in that fellowship was viagra. With the ages of these Rotarians, they need the viagra. Anyway, I played along. Everytime I go to these fellowships, I have to play along. I'm amazed at my acting ability. Its like I really like these girls. The only thing I hate about these fellowships is that I have to pay P2000 to play that I really enjoy these gatherings. Yuck. Lol.

I had to spend Saturday lunch and dinner with my sister and her family. You see, she turned 40! Lol!!!! (evil laughter). I'm so so bad. I've been texting her the past week reminding her that she is very near 40. We had a nice lunch with Mom and a priest that Mom invited so he could say mass for my sister and I don't have to worry about going to mass on Sunday. I played with my 6 month old nephew who is so cute. My Mom thinks he looks like me. I agree. Lol.

My sister invited a bunch of friends to dinner at that floating restaurant in CCP. The resto is a bit on the pricey side but the food is good. The chefs are imported from Hong Kong. It even smells like the restos in Hong Kong. Lol. Gaita has some very nutty friends. They play badminton with her. For a straight bunch and composed of mostly housewives, they are a lot of fun. And our favorite topic was my sister in law who they met and don't really like! Lol.

Met up Sunday with Dan, Dafy, Eric, Jason, Mark and Vic at Rockwell. Ate dinner at Via Mare and watched Crash. Thad and I both liked the movie but it was a heavy movie. Very draining.

Read Mosscake and Alman's blog earlier. They seem to be enjoying the Red Cross training and the BMC training in general. They like their co-trainees which is good. But Mosscake made a booboo. He should never have admitted that he left at 4pm. Those Red Cross instructors don't have brains. They have attitude problems. I know. I've been there. They didn't even know he left early. Sayang. He has to take it all over again. Maybe I'll talk to the BMC people. I'll see what can be done. But I'm not that hopeful. Especially if the Red Cross people are from their Pasig Chapter. The Manila Chapter is a bit better. I hope that Red Cross guy isn't that faggot again. That faggot gives all gay men a bad rap.

old blue boys getting together....

Gilby's in town. He flew in with his kids minus his wife from San Francisco. Jun arranged for us to get together last night. We ate dinner at Teriyaki Boy at Eastwood in Libis. Gilby is losing his hair. At least, his haircut fits his balding pate. None of that comb over thingy that lots of balding men are famous for. Jun still has his thick hair but he confessed that he dyes his hair. Jun looks older than us. He also married younger. He's got an 18 year old daughter who happens to look like his gorgeous wife. IT IS A VERY GOOD THING HIS DAUGHTER LOOKS NOTHING LIKE HIM!Lol. Producing a daughter that is so so cute is his greatest acheivement in life. Lol. And his cute daughter studies at THE ATENEO!

Gilby, Jun and I are old college friends from the Ateneo. We had different majors. Jun is a Business Management Major and is very entrepreneurial. He's the richest among all of us. Gilby is a Com Arts Major and at an early age settled in San Francisco. Gilby used to work for Schwab as an investment professional. He's retired and leaves off his interest and dividends. He's got a nice nest egg stashed away. I was an economics and history major. I wanted to teach but as my now deceased dad told me "you have champagne taste and teaching gives you beer money. You'll need to earn serious money if you want to teach." So now I find myself in business trying to earn that serious money.

We were loud and raucous. We talked about old college friends, old shenanigans and old loves. We caught up with each other's lives and we talked about our future plans. As if 45 year olds have lots of years to look forward to. Gilby is full of optimism because his nest egg keeps on growing. He's made very good investments in his portfolio. Jun just keeps on making money and he's kinda worried about his cute 18 year old daughter. It seems that lots of boys are courting her. I told them I wanted to put up a beach house in Anilao, Mabini, Batangas with a resort beside it. I'd like to really retire there and dive all day. I like the water and the mountains. But there's more to do in the water.

Its funny how the three of us met in college. We were never classmates. We belonged to the same batch but we had different friends. Jun hanged out with the provincial crowd, Gilby with the artsy fartsy crowd and I with the social set crowd. We met when we were juniors in a party. We had common friends and we all found out that we had the same stupid teacher in a physcology subject. And we had to submit the same paper. so we decided to get together and do the paper together. And from then on, we were friends. We were one of the 1st people to discover Puerto Galera when it was all huts and 10 bucks bought you a room. We were also the 1st to discover Boracay when it still had no electricity and a room was 10 bucks. Meals were like 2 bucks and Boracay had no running water. We defacated in holes! We liked to travel. We went to places like Isabela and Basilan and Sulo. We never did get to Palawan though but it was in the itinerary. After college, we still kept closer tabs with one another. Jun was the 1st to marry. I was his sidekick when he courted his wife. Gilby left for SF after 3 years promising his GF that he'll be back to marry her. He didn't come back to marry her and I had to comfort her when she found out that he married someone else. Up to now his old GF is still not married.

We transferred to Jack's Loft and we did some serious drinking. The two of them were oggling really nice, cute, young girls. I was oggling nice, cute, young guys. Lol. Gilby wanted to go to Airforce One. But when I told him it will cost him about 20 to 30 grand and true to his 'kuripot' nature, he backed out. Besides he didn't bring his protection and his viagra. And that elicited a lot of denial that he needs viagra.

Alman posted a comment in my blog. Lots of people reads my blog but very very few posts any comments. So far, its the porn ladies and Alman. Lol.

If Alman reads this "Please post my blog on Mosscakes' blog on the "cut and paste" issue. Thanks." I can't post in Mosscakes blog because he does not allow anonymous comments.

hmmm....

Jenny has a lovelife. Finally. After several suitors (secret), she finally found one. I'm happy for her. Her new found man of her dreams and love of her life has the potential to make her happy. Sana it works out.

One of my people died Saturday at the age of 41. He had a heart attack. His wife said he was experiencing pain in his body. He had a massage then asked to be brought to the hospital. At the hospital, he freaked and fought with the doctors to release him. His blood pressure was a mind boggling 220/180. He went home and died within a couple of hours. A senseless death if you ask me. I went to his wake yesterday at Macabebe, Pampangga. Visiting a wake in not my idea of a social function. But I had to. Duty requires it. It shows you care. It is good PR but more than that it is a statement that we won't abandon them in their time of difficulty.

I know who cut and pasted Mosscake's blog in a yahoo egroup. Shame on you. You should not have done that. Even as a joke. Your ancestors will not approve of what you did. You should apologize to Mosscake. Besides I know it is a "lapse of judgement" in your part. Lol. Seriously, its wrong.

The 2nd training climb is coming up. I might not be able to make it. Thad scheduled the farewell dinner for Orly on August 12. Bus leaves at 12am that Friday night. And I can't very well abandon our dinner guests in our house! Wonder if they'll allow me to take the ferry at the CCP and catch up with the main climb team?

Sayang, I want to climb that mountain pa naman.

Yucky Porn Stars in my Blog!

I got porn stars commenting on my blog. First it was Zaira then Danica. Zaira and Danica sounds like one of those Promil kids. But they are porn stars or hookers or extremely horny females. Their profile says so. They have the guts to tell me that they read my blog??? Hello!

If they read my blog, they would have known that I don't eat pussy. I've nothing against pussy but I just don't eat pussy. I belong to another world. A world devoid of cunts/pussies/vaginas/etc. A world of bitches but without the pussies. A world of creativity, culture, refinement and sex but without the foul smelling pussies!

Can't they read?!?! How do I get these cunt people from posting comments in a gay man's blog? Pussy do not belong in a gay man's universe.

I played gotcha this Saturday at Gabby's compound. I managed to bring Thad along with me. And he liked it! He liked rolling on the mud and playing the game. We played 3 games. 2 games with my AMCI buddies and a game with some pros. The game with the pros was kinda interesting. It was like 6 of them against 18 of us. Lol. We felt like we were Japanese soldiers being shot at by FPJ! Lol. But I managed to kill one of them. And I shot 2 of them. But the ball didn't break so it doesn't count. Bummer.

On the 2 other games, Jigjig managed to "kill"me on both games. What hurt was the headshot I took in the last game. Bummer. After the games, we swam and had dinner at Gabby's house. As usual, surrounded by my one and only spouse, who I love most dearly, and good friends I got a little tipsy. Lol.

Sunday was kinda relaxing. I ate out with the family at that jumbo floating resto by CCP owned by that Hong Kong tycoon Stanley Ho. The food is good but the prices are outta this world! Its very expensive. Its about as expensive as the Chinese resto at the Shangri-la.

After that food binge, Thad and I had a massage. Now that was relaxing. But I still managed to walk into an orgy at the sauna. I kinda felt embarassed walking into something like that. The participants were not worth it! After the massage I got messages from Dan, Eric and Dafy asking us to join them for dinner and a movie.

We ate with them at Isshin then we caught a movie "D'anothers". The movie was ok for a local flick. The writing sharp (the writer must have been gay!), the cinematography was good but the editing was so-so. It got dragging towards the end. Surprise, surprise! There was hardly any slapstick humor.

This dearth of local flicks is good for the local movie industry. Most of the movies produced have better story lines, editing, pacing and cinematography. They have to compete with the foreign (American) films. At least we don't get anymore run of the mill skin flicks, predictable love stories, shoot em up with badly edited fight scenes and unbelievable stunts and slapstick comedies that make fun of all types of freaks (dwarfs, bald headed guys etc.).

There is this Zaira who made a comment on this blog. Turns out she's a porn star or runs a porn site. And she's a real woman. Besides what will I do with her. Pussy does not turn me on. Yuck!
