About a couple of days ago, news broke that a former member of the Philippine Congress was arrested as the mastermind of a kidnapping syndicate. It was not the 1st time a former or sitting congressman was arrested for a major crime. We continue to elect these leaders and wonder why the Philippines has never moved forward. We ourselves are to blame for this mess.

This former actor and ex congressman, Dennis Roldan (his screen name--his real name really sucks), has a lawyer named Salvador Panelo. His lawyer's defense of his client to the media is an excercise more fitted for a comedy show. It is hilarious verging in incredulity.

And this Valentine Day bombing that happened last week got my ire. My 1st reaction when the
Abu Sayaff claimed responsibility was to kill all Muslims. But reason got the better of me.

Can't wait for this weekend. Can't wait to go diving.
